Not a field trip...not just another class
A Go ED. student making the acquaintance of a new friend

This site has been created to provide information, updates, and conversation about Go ED. Look at photos and read student comments on past semesters, as well as other practical details and responses to frequently asked questions. We encourage all students to register as a great way to get connected with one another.

No specific travel information, student information, etc. will be made public on this site. In order to have access to secure pages, please click on the registration page and give a brief description of who you are and how you are connected to the Go ED. program.

For more information on the program, classes, how to register, etc, go to http://www.fh.org/go-ed
Thank you for your interest in the program, and your prayers for the student, staff and faculty.

FH general
Food for the Hungry goes to the hard places, bringing hope to many who face hopeless circumstances. "God calls us particularly to those places of poverty that are hurting and often unstable. Our calling means by definition that we will go to 'rocky terrain,' states FH president Ben Homan. If we wanted smooth paths, we would not venture into places such as Darfur, Sudan, Northern Uganda, Cambodia, Bangladesh – and so many other places."

Quote from a Fall 2006 student

Mostly, just tell them (incoming students) that it will be hard, and there will be days when all they want to do is go home or cry or lay in bed all day. And that's okay. One of the best things I've learned is that Jesus is faithful. Parents sometimes run out of time to call and friends don’t always e-mail as much as you expected they would but every time you hit the end of your rope (mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally) and you have no strength, when you cry out to God - HE WILL ANSWER. Every single time.

And Scripture, prayer and living in community become more of a necessity than it ever has been. This semester was not always fun, not always easy, and never what I expected it to be. BUT it changed my life forever and I would do it again in a heart beat. All over the world life is just life, some good some bad, and I’m just thankful that I got to experience a few months of it in the Go ED. program.
