The following pictures were taken during our time in Lima and during our visit to a few of the communities.
Picture of a community in Lima where FH works. Most of the homes are made of wood or other hodgepodge items with metal roofs. This along with the many loose rocks along the mountainside presents danger if an earthquake of any great size were to occur in the Lima area. This is a real possibility because Lima lies on a fault line.

During our visit to the communities, we had the privelage of sitting in on a "home visit". FH workers visit local families in the communities to first of all get to know them and second of all identify any needs within the individual family, and then third, but most importantly, share God's word and pray with and for them in their home.
Paul is pictured on a staircase that was built in the community to ease the burden of families in carrying water to their homes from 55 gallon drums located throughout the community. Before this staircase, the famlies would carry the water along steep slopes of lose rock attempting to spill as little of their water as possilbe. It is amazing how such simple things can make such a huge difference and be such a great blessing to the people.
